Singer Dre Cali, real name Katende Andrew Stephen, has hit back at his former boss, and Mpaka Records boss Ykee Benda, following recent remarks about the possibility of them working together again.
Ykee made the comments during a YouTube interview, where he was asked whether he would consider collaborating with Dre Cali again after their split.
In response, Dre dismissed the suggestion, saying he was not “dying” to work with his former mentor, adding that some people never change.
“As if I’m dying to work with you. Some people never change, man,” Dre Cali said.
The tension between the two artists dates back to their fallout, which reportedly stemmed from Dre Cali breaching his agreement with Mpaka Records before relocating to Canada.
