Two Democratic Party diehards in Entebbe Municipality were thoroughly grilled and interrogated at Entebbe Police after they were suspected to have participated in defacing President Yoweri Museveni’s campaign posters in Lunyo Zone. The duo were arrested and taken to Entebbe Police after they were singled out and pinned over defacing Museveni campaign posters on Wednesday night after an NRM Campaign rally in the area. The two DP Supporters were accused of behaving like lumpens with no brains after they tore Museveni and other NRM Candidates posters in the wee hours of Wednesday Night. The poor supporters sweated plasma and almost urinated in their pants after they were interrogated and squeezed for hours over participating in defacing Museveni and other NRM Candidates’ posters. The poor fellas denied the accusations and said that they were being punished for nothing.
Democratic Party top Bosses in Entebbe Municipality including MP Aspirant Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa, incumbent LC3 Division ‘A’ Chairman Kasule David Wasswa and Mayor Kayanja Vincent DePaul fought tooth and nail to have their supporters freed and indicated that their supporters were arrested without providing proof and evidence that they actually committed the offence. They said that police acted on rumors and hearsay without investigating thoroughly. One was later freed while the other was caged till further notice.
