The Democratic Party rebel faction leader and Katabi Sub County LCIII Chairman Gerald Wilson Mukasa is crying crocodile tears and suffering from intensifying stress after he was caned in the just concluded Katabi Sub County LCIII polls. The aging political monger was caned by the Democratic Party mainstream flag bearer Ronald Kalema who garnered 4003 votes. Gerald Mukasa who stood as an Independent Candidate came second with 3354 votes while NRM’s Richard Kiyaga came third with 2026 votes and NRM Independent candidate Patrick Kainamura came last with less than 200 votes. The aging man broke ranks with DP top bosses over lots of issues including intrigue and backed NBS’s Simon Kaggwa Njala over Stephen Sekigozi who was caned by NRM’s Peter Ssematimba in the heated parliamentary race. He is expected to hand over office in the next couple of months.
