Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has refuted allegations that Entebbe International Airport has cancelled it’s flights and halted all it’s operations following Police Spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi’s shooting on Friday Morning. Addressing the media on Friday, CAA Public Affairs Manager Vianney Luggya dismissed all the reports and rumors that have been circulating on social media indicating that Entebbe Airport had halted all it’s flights following the brutal gunning down of Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
Vianney indicated that all the social media reports and rumors are false and should be ignored. He said that CAA together with other security agencies at Entebbe Airport are investigating the source of the rumors.
It’s not true that Entebbe International Airport has cancelled all the flights. Entebbe International Airport is safe and all the operations are moving on smoothly. All the rumors should be ignored because they are false. The rumor circulated in September 2016 and now it has resurfaced again. Together with other security agencies at Entebbe Airport we are investigating the source of the rumors, Vianney Luggya stated.
