Out of the 98 participants who took part in the Kenya Golf Day Grand social Tournament held at Entebbe Golf Club on Saturday November 1st saw Byamugisha Geoffrey emerge victorious in the men’s category, playing off Handicap 16 he returned a total score of 67 Nett. Nakalembe Irene emerged overall winner in the Ladies category, playing off Handicap 06 she returned a total score of 75 Nett.
Their victory earned them a two-day tour of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and a double for two nights’ accommodation at Mahogany Springs Lodge in Bwindi, all courtesy of Aerolink Airlines and Mahogany Springs Lodges in Bwindi.
Senior Category.
Playing Handicap 17 Former state minister for Primary Health care Dr. Alex Kamugisha returned a total score of 79 Nett to emerge winner in the seniors category (Aged 60 years and above).
Uganda People’s Defence forces Army Private Okwi Timothy topped Group A with a score of 69 Nett. Fadiga Simon Peter returned a total of 68 Nett to top Group B while Entebbe Club life time member Buusi Paul beat Muzahura Edgar on count back return a score of 72 Nett.
Entebbe Club Chairman Innocent Kihika thanked the Kenyan community living in Uganda for organizing the Golf tournament that brings together Ugandans and Kenyans to socialize and promote the spirit of East African Community.
Ladies Category.
Playing Handicap 28 Namutebi Agnes returned a score of 77 Nett she beat Jiang on count back.
