Entebbe based Masavu FC travels to Kampala University this Wednesday April 22 in the semifinal return leg with a 1-0 advantage. Fiti Kalazo’s 16th minute goal in the first half separated the two sides with Masavu FC missing several other clear cut chances that would have doubled their lead at the Katabi Football Ground. Masavu Goal Keeper Ronnie Mutebi was in superb form after he saved several shorts from Kampala University.
Meanwhile Luweero FC beat Bwala 2-1 in the other semifinal match. The team that wins the Buganda Regional playoffs will automatically qualify for the Fufa Big League.
“I’m happy for this result, I only took charge of the team recently. I’m confident we shall advance to the finals” Masavu Coach Hakim Nsibambi said.
