

Residents and Boda Boda Riders in Nkumba Central, Katabi Town Council in Wakiso District walk up to the shocking news after they landed on a body of their colleague dumped in a plantation. The deceased who was identified as Mike Okello was discovered in the wee hours of Wednesday Morning after he was clobbered to death by yet to be identified assailants. He was clobbered just behind Ssubi Orphanage School fence and thereafter his body was dragged to the Banana Plantation oozing a lot of blood in the head. His body was only dressed in a boxer by that it was discovered. There was a bloody scuffle and fighting between the deceased and his assailants before he was overpowered and clobbered to death because one of his arms was severely twisted. After clobbering the poor man, the assailants vanished into thin air with his Motorbike.
Hadijah Nakiwala, the deceased widow disclosed that several unidentified assailants tried to kill him several times and that he had scars on his head.
“I pleaded with him to quit riding Boda Bodas and go back to building but he refused and this is what has resulted’, the Widow revealed.


The OC Station Kasenyi Police Post ASP Jospeh Ssekitoleko confirmed the bloody murder and revealed that Police has investigation into the incident under file 08/16/11/2016. He vowed to bring all the culprits to book. He urged the Boda Boda Riders to return home early and avoid operating late in the night.
The deceased body was taken to Mulago Hospital for postmortem. He has left behind two young kids. The deceased is to be laid to rest in Wanyange Village, Kamuli District.
