Centenary Bank has admitted its customer lost millions of shillings in ATM fraud, a revelation that sheds light on the growing cases of financial fraud hitting Uganda’s commercial banks. It all started on January 16 with a customer identified as Angella Caroline Idoot threatening to sue Centenary Bank for illegally deducting money from her account number 2120044*. Uganda Police have arrested 21 suspects who were reportedly engaged in a sex party. The Uganda People’s Defence Forces has confirmed it is holding Moses Nkonge Kibalama, the former head of the National Unity Platform. The army says Mr Kibalama is being detained at an undisclosed location for his own safety and also that they are trying to guard his house which is located in Buwambo in Wakiso District. The Minister has been on remand at Kitalya Prison since September 7th on charges of attempted murder, threatening violence, assault causing bodily harm and malicious damage.
