High flying Masavu ensured their grip on the Rwenzori group log on Thursday after they comfortably eased past Mbarara based Nyamityobora F.C in the Fufa big league. Masavu earned the three points after Onesmus Andama and Dumba Sadala scored the two goals against the Mbarara based side that featured former Masavu centre back Douglas Muganga and Nkumba select beach soccer stars Muwawu Faizal and Elvis Kiberu.
Masavu now lead the Rwenzori group with 33 points and will be seeking to earn maximum three points against Entebbe F.C on Sunday at the Bugonga football ground. Nyamityobora who are third on the log with 22 points will travel to Mbale Kataka.
“The match wasn’t easy at all. Nyamityobora dominated us in the first half but we regained our composure in the second half and managed to win the match. We shall be travelling to our Entebbe F.C rivals on Sunday in the Entebbe derby and we hope to leave the Bugonga football ground smiling”, Masavu head coach Allan Kabonge told entebbenews.
Despite the 2-0 loss to Masavu coach Charles Ayeko is hopeful that his side will recover and win the remaining matches.
“We dominated the entire game but couldn’t find the back of the net. We shall recover. The league is not yet over”, Nyamityobora Coach Charles Ayeko said.
