The Annual Entebbe Club Junior Golf Tournament that got under way on Friday saw Aliga Ibrahim and Toro Club’s Namusoke Hafswa emerge winners in the boys and girls category respectively.
Playing Golf Handicap 25 Aliga Ibrahim returned a total of 66 Nett to emerge winner in the boys 18 holes category while Namusoke Hafswa returned a total of 71 Nett to emerge winner in the girls 18 holes category.
“This is my first time playing on this course, I found it challenging. The trees scared me, I was hitting my ball in the trees but on the third hole I managed stabilize until I completed my game” 16 year old Namusoke revealed to entebbenews.
She added: I would like to thank my sponsors Pinda Kirungi Lady Captain Toro Club and Ramesh for supporting me. Together they bought me a golf bag and sponsored my travel to Entebbe.

Alunga Michael topped group A with 77 Nett while Jakisa Emmanuel returned 78 Nett to settle for runner up position. Returning 72 Nett Kanonera Joseph topped Group B while Mugume Didas settled for runner up position with 75 Nett.
Musinguzi Mufuti returned to go top of Group C while Bogere Sam returned 71 Nett to finish runners up.
In the ladies 18 holes category Namulondo Eve returned 82 Nett to finish Runners up while Kwagala Catherine returned 90 Nett to finish first runner up.
Emmanuel Kasagama, Kamese Jamimah and Musinguzi Jesse emerged winners in the 9, 6 and 3 holes respectively. Owor Innocent emerged winner in the skills test with 9 points.
