    Fufa Boss Magogo launches Football Administration and Management Course (FAMACO).

    After several unsuccessful AFCON Qualification campaigns Fufa Boss Eng. Moses Magogo has now launched a massive programme to overhaul Ugandan Football. The program dubbed Football Administration and Management Course (FAMACO) which commenced on Tuesday January 27th at Mapeera Secondary School and will end on Thursday is intended to equip several football administrators, coaches, scouts and referees with the skills of the beautiful game.

    The football course which brought together over 200 participants from all over Uganda is intended to develop and promote the concept of football in Uganda. According to Fufa Vice President Justus Mugisha the 200 participants will sit for exams and 40 candidates will be selected to undergo FAMACO 2 and thereafter another exam will be given to select the best ten who will eventually become National Instructors.

    “We (Fufa) are launching a four year developmental program and as a federation we have decided to train all stakeholders involved in Uganda Football” Mugisha revealed.

    “We (Fufa) are confident that after the three day training all football structures in the different regions and districts the game of football will move forward” Mugisha added.

    “Fufa will continue to hold refresher courses every year in January to ensure that all stake holders involved in the game of football in Uganda remain up to date with the relevant skills” Mugisha stressed.

    The participants who have been camping at Mapeera Secondary School in Kisubi Entebbe since Tuesday have undergone training in several football course units and among them include Fifa and it’s development program, Confederations, Statutes, General Football Management, Event Management, Finance, planning and Human resource Management, competitions, Club Management, Marketing, Communications, Member Associations, Fufa and it’s development program, club types, statutes and rules.
