    Afcon Group E qualifiers:

    Wed, 19th Nov 2014

Guinea Vs Uganda (In Morocco) 7pm EAST

    Ghana Vs Togo (In Tamale)

Following their resounding 1-0 victory over the black stars of Ghana, Uganda Cranes departed at Entebbe International Airport on Sunday November 16, in a must win match against Guinea. Defender Savio Kabugo’s lone goal resurrected Uganda’s chances in the AFCON 2015 Qualifiers after losing to the Togolese National Team home and away.

Shortly after arriving at Entebbe Airport the team observed a moment of silence as they sought divine intervention ahead of their must win match against Guinea.

Uganda cranes contingent comprised of 18 players and 8 officials departed Sunday evening aboard Qatar airways QR1388 to the Moroccan capital Casablanca via Doha, the team is expected to arrive in Casablanca on Monday at approximately 11am (local time).

Uganda takes on Guinea in Casablanca on Wednesday November 19 after the West African Nation was banned from hosting any AFCON games due to the Ebola Outbreak. Both Uganda and Guinea have 7 points after Guinea humiliated Togo 4-1 which lies fourth in Group E with 6 points. Ghana still leads Group E with 8 points and will be facing Togo on Wednesday.

There are no suspended players on the team though injured AS Vita forward, Yunus Sentamu, one of the nominated players for the African footballer of the year, 2014 award misses the trip. The players had a light conditioning and recovery training session on Sunday.

Meanwhile seven nations including South Africa, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Cameroon, Zambia and Tunisia have booked their places in the AFCON 2015 Finals in Equatorial Guinea.
