Celebrated gospel singer Levixone, real name Sam Lucas Lubyogo, has watered down hopes of ever starting a church.
It has been a common norm for gospel artists to start up churches to spread the gospel on a different platform. Artists like Judith Babirye, who started a church in Canada, Pr. Wilson Bugembe in Nansana, among others, who have followed the bandwagon, but Levixone revealed he has no hopes of establishing one.
Defending his decision during a recent YouTube interview, Levixone explained that the reason he has not started a church is that he prefers spreading the gospel through his performances and charity.
“My ministry still goes on. I’m an evangelist, and I always reach out to people to deliver the gospel. You have seen me out there in concerts, and I have never left the stage without preaching to the people the gospel. I shout it out a lot that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light because I would not want anybody to miss out on heaven. I do it even without a building. My ministry is moving and changing a lot of lives,” he said.

Levioxne, however, didn’t rule out the possibility of starting a church entirely but emphasized that it was not his mission.

“If a church comes along the way, it can, but for now, I’m doing what I’m supposed to do, and I do not need a building. I will instead find you wherever you are. My vision is far bigger than an office,” he said.
