Renowned Ugandan dancehall singer Cindy Sanyu refuses to perform in London over the promoter’s failure to settle her balance.
Cindy was among the artists lined up to perform at the just-concluded UG Festival, which was scheduled for 04 July 2026 at Newham Leisure Centre in London.
Ahead of the festival, Cindy, among other booked artists from Uganda, jetted to London in preparation for the big day.
Unfortunately, Cindy didn’t make it to the stage due to issues linked to the promoter’s failure to honour the working agreement.
Cindy expressed her disappointment towards the promoter, extending her apologies to her London fans, saying she expects the promoter to do better next time.

According to reports, the promoter promised to make it up to the partiers by arranging Cindy to perform at the event after party.
