Musician Omega 256, real name Shamim Murerwa, has opened up about a funny experience that saw her visit a shrine for the first time in her life.
During a sit-down TV interview, Omega narrated to viewers that she had a close friend some years back who frequented shrines. On this particular day, the friend told her that during one of her visits, she noticed that someone had taken Omega’s photo to the witch doctor to charm her.
Out of fear, she got directions to the shrine and immediately rushed there. Omega reveals that she came face-to-face with the elderly woman and started begging her to return her photo.
“You know, girls practice witchcraft a lot. I had a female friend who said she had gone to a shrine and seen my picture. I panicked a lot when I heard that. She gave me directions to the place, and I immediately rushed there because I honestly had nothing to do. I found an elderly woman at the shrine, and I cried and pleaded with her to give me my photo. I told her I didn’t come for anything else but that,” she said.
Omega stressed that the elderly woman didn’t tell her how she got the photo or for what purpose, but asked her to bring some items to redeem it.
“Of course, she couldn’t tell me who had brought my picture and for what reason, but it was there. She asked for some things which I delivered, and they finally gave me my photo,” she said while laughing out loud.
Unlike other artists who have confessed to having experienced witchcraft from their colleagues, Omega didn’t think that the incident in question was linked to the music industry.

“I will not accuse anyone of sending me witchcraft. My story is a funny one, but maybe it wasn’t even about this industry, but something else, or anyone outside this industry,” she said.
