Leone Island boss Jose Chameleone, born Joseph Mayanja, has opened up about the dissolution of his 17-year-old marriage with Daniela Atim.

Last week, social media was awash with reports that Daniella Atim had officially filed for divorce from Chameleone, citing that he had abandoned her for five years, leaving her to care for herself and the family.

Daniella is allegedly seeking custody, full ownership of their Seguku home, child support for her and the children, plus covering the court fees.

Jose Chameleone, however, wants the home to remain a family property. In the video shared online, he emphasized that everything he has worked for in life was for the benefit of his children, not anyone else.

While addressing the matter, Chameleone revealed that the fight for ownership between them as adults was unnecessary because his wish was never to divide it up, but to preserve his hard work so that his children could live a good life.

“What we are fighting for doesn’t even belong to us, but the kids. We will have to leave it all behind, and others will take over. This is not a situation that warrants a fight. They belong to the kids. The only problem I have now is that they want me to draft a will, yet I’m still alive.

If the law takes us that far, I will have to sign it too. I didn’t work for anything but my life and my kids. There is no sharing of what to whom, but they all own them collectively; I just have to sign out, sit with my family, and decide how it is done. To someone who understands the world, it is called vanity. All things perish. They do not even belong to Maama Abba, but for those who will come after,” he said.

Jose Chameleone called out social media users and bloggers who have made it a point to discuss matters concerning his divorce on the internet. He also emphasized that he was less bothered by the judgments passed on him.

“Just tell everyone that I do not have any stress or any trouble. I just worked hard for my children, and I will fight for them. I will continue working even if I were a billionaire, I would still give it all to them,” he added.

The estranged couple married in 2008 and had five children: Abba Mayanja, 19, Alpha Mayanja, 16, Alba Mayanja, 13, Ama Mayanja, 11, and Xara Mayanja, 6.
