Kampala is about to turn the volume up this August, as Nyege Nyege drops a brand-new party series, The Yo Voice Be Hard Experience, a three-night music takeover promising nothing less than raw, unfiltered East African talent.
The series will run on August 16th, 23rd, and 30th at Wild Ones & The Loft in the buzzing Industrial Area, turning the venue into a playground for experimental beats, underground sounds, and boundary-pushing performances.
“It’s more than a party, it’s a cultural takeover,” says the Nyege Nyege team.
The event is part of the Yo Voice Be Hard creative accelerator, a European Union–funded program designed to mentor and promote rising East African artists.
Over the past months, ten emerging talents have honed their craft through workshops, mentorship, and media exposure, and now, they’re ready to unleash their sound on the world.
