Musician Winnie Nwagi has promised to continue slapping men in the crowd who keep touching her inappropriately during her performances.

Winnie Nwagi found herself at the centre of controversy once again following her altercation with one of her fans during her recent performance in Rukungiri. In the video that made rounds on social media, the Swangz Avenue diva is seen slapping a reveler in the crowd.

While addressing her actions with Mr. Henrie, Winnie Nwagi admitted to having slapped the man but denied allegations that she had kicked him too.

She claimed that the captured kick in the viral clip happened when she was performing her hit song ‘Batuleke’. It was edited alongside the slap to exaggerate the incident and make her look very aggressive.

People are just exaggerating it. That video was edited. It was simply a slap and no kick. There is a part in Batuleke where I need to do a little kicking. So they edited it and added to it, making it look like I slapped them, and then I kicked, she said.

Despite the backlash, Winnie emphasized that the men who had fallen victim to her actions were disrespectful to her, something she couldn’t tolerate.

She claimed the videos trending online lacked context and the capturers make it a point not to add the actions of the perpetrator but only her reactions to drive their agenda that she is violent.

The person I slapped was disrespectful. Just that the person capturing the videos cannot get what that person did first, but when it comes to you, you only see my part, and it makes me look bad. But I will not stop saying that I do not want to be touched. It is disrespectful. Whenever it happens, I can’t stop slapping. I just find myself slapping, she confessed.
