Singer King Saha, through his legal team, Wamimba Advocates and Solicitors, intends to sue TikTok Dr Cephco, real name Ismail Ssefuko, for defamation.
Based on the legal document issued, Cephco, on the 5th day of May, 2025, published and disseminated a false, malicious, and defamatory statement through his TikTok account (@DrCephico).
In the video, Cephco claimed King Saha damaged his Motor vehicle, a Toyota Noah, UBP 661Q, Silver in color. The statement insinuates that Saha was in Japan at the time of the claims, which his travel documents and multiple eyewitnesses can verify.
Cephco’s publication tarnished King Saha’s reputation in the public eye, caused emotional distress and embarrassment, and exposed the singer to ridicule, contempt, and loss of professional opportunities.
Saha requests that Cephco pay UgX 200,000,000/= within seven days for the damages caused to his reputation and public image.
Furthermore, Cephco is to issue a formal public apology and retraction of the defamatory statement with
equal prominence on all platforms where the statement was shared, including his TikTok and other social media handles.
He is ordered to cease making any further defamatory statements or insinuations against King Saha and provide written confirmation of compliance upon receiving the legal document.
