RDC Rose Kirabira has called for team work and transparency among all Entebbe Sub-district Political leaders and technical staff to ensure that their constituents fully benefit from the various government programs.

RDC Kirabira who made the rallying call while addressing her first security meeting of the year 2018 on Thursday, reviewed the past year 2017 which was mainly characterized  with the women murders in Katabi Town Council and the gross misuse of youth livelihood program funds (YLP) and called on the various political leaders in Entebbe sub-district and their respective technical staff to address all the gaps and loopholes to ensure that their constituents benefit from government services and programs.

She noted that due to lack of transparency, coordination and team work among the Political leaders and their technical staff, locals have consistently attacked and blamed government and President Museveni for the poor service delivery despite the various interventions and finances disbursed to their divisions to address the challenges.

RDC Kirabira tasked the Political leaders and their technical staff to be creative and initiate other projects that can benefit their constituents.

Elias Nimwesiga, the DISO Entebbe Sub-District also stressed the need for transparency among the Political leaders and the technical staff to avoid suspicion, allegations and clashing among the various offices. Nimwesiga noted that poor service delivery breeds anarchy, lawlessness and crime and revealed that the LC3 Chairpersons have abandoned their role of holding regular security meetings in their constituencies.

On his part Mission Samuel, the DPC Entebbe Sub-district, revealed that Police has ventured into Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) to assist vulnerable groups such as women and the youth be productive after it was discovered that the leading cause of crime is poor service delivery and unemployment. He appealed to the respective Municipal and town councils leaders to mobilize funds and purchase an ambulance to rush accident victims from accident scenes to hospitals and health facilities other than transporting them in the Police Pickup vehicle which in most cases exacerbates their conditions.
