
The Uganda Police Force has resolved to conduct Air surveillance and Operations in Katabi Town Council in a bid to hunt down for the serial Killers who have murdered a total of nine women. According to Police officers who spoke on condition of anonymity, the chopper will be conducting Air surveillance and operations in different zones in Katabi Town Council until when the situation normalizes.
“We held several meetings with the big man (IGP Kayihura) in Kigo and we resolved to deploy a chopper to help in patrolling the different zones in Katabi Town Council in the night. We hope with a combined effort of the Chopper surveillance, motorcycle and security look-out teams patrol, we shall get the serial killers. The killers have tried to outsmart us (Police) but we are also not sleeping”, a Police officer disclosed.
The Katabi Town Council Mayor Ronald Kalema has welcomed the night Chopper patrols and said that the mysterious killings have baffled Police together with Local leaders.

“We have tried our best to dig deep into who the mysterious killers are and their motive but we haven’t been successful. Let the chopper now conduct the Air operations because our ultimate aim is to ensure the safety of life and property of the residents”, Kalema told entebbenews on phone.
Meanwhile Security Minister Gen. Henry Tumukunde held private meetings with key stakeholders in Entebbe at the Katabi- Gombolola (Katabi Town Council) headquarters on Tuesday to dig deeper into the mysterious killings of women. Tumukunde held separate meetings with the fishermen, sex workers, Boda Boda riders, religious leaders and other interest groups over the rampant murders of women.
