The Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Rose Tumusiime has warned Entebbe residents over engaging in reckless sex following Ministry of Health report indicating that the HIV/AIDS Scourge is still rampant and killing Ugandans. MP Tumusiime who issued the warning during the “Bulungi Bwansi” cleaning exercise in Nsamizi zone on Thursday noted that unlike women who voluntarily participate in HIV Testing, men on the other hand are most affected by the scourge because they are adamant to test for the Virus and start treatment. She appealed to the residents to tame their sexual urges and live faithful lives stressing that there are no gains in having multiple sexual partners other than contracting Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and HIV.
Following the rampant murders of women and girls in Katabi Town Council, MP Tumusiime appealed to girls and women to desist from walking alone in the night adding that they have turned into soft targets for the killers. She said that the monthly “Bulungi Bwansi” cleaning exercise will be held in all villages in Entebbe and called on all residents to participate.
