    Veteran Educationist Scoops Entebbe Rotary Award.

    Rotary Club of Entebbe on Wednesday presented the prestigious Vocational service award to veteran Educationist Mary Goretti Katusabe Ssemwezi in recognition for her long service in the teaching profession and her tireless effort in supporting and fighting for the rights of the girl child. Katusabe who begun her journey as a graduate teacher at Trinity College Nabbingo in 1981 has held several other posts including University Secretary Kyambogo University and Nkumba University and she is currently serving on the Kamwenge District service Commission as a member.

    The 61 year old retired senior citizen accepted the award and pledged to support all Rotarian-related causes, projects and activities.

    Rotary Club of Entebbe also recognized SOS Children’s Villages for their tireless efforts in looking after vulnerable and orphaned children across Uganda. Lillian Ssengooba the National Program Development Advisor (SOS Children’s Villages Uganda) received the vocational service award and urged all the Rotarians to support them to ensure that vulnerable children including street children achieve their dreams.

    Several Rotary clubs in Uganda including Rotary Club Bwebajja, Nkumba, Seeta, Naguru and Kampala Central graced the function that was held at Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel.
