The Katabi Sub County NRM Vice Chairman Abas Mukiza and his supporters are backing DP’s Steven Sekigozi for the Busiro South Parliamentary seat. The Sub County NRM Boss made the decision after his candidate Jumba Saleh was caned by Super FM Boss Peter Ssematimba in last year’s party primaries. The NRM diehard claims that Peter Ssematimba is not a legitimate winner because he rigged his way to victory in the party primaries. He made the decision at the Democratic Rally that was held at the Ntanda play ground, Katabi Sub County in Wakiso District on Tuesday and also backed Ronald Kalema for the LCIII Katabi Sub County seat.
He however maintained that he would vote President Museveni and at the lower level he would opposition candidates. He accused Peter Ssematimba of disorganizing Busiro South adding that he is not even a resident in the constituency. On his part Sekigozi welcomed the NRM Supporters and promised to work with them to defeat Ssematimba. The rally was attended by Entebbe Municipality DP Flag bearer for the MP ticket Kakembo Michael and Kasule David Wasswa the Division A chairman flag bearer.
