A 26 year Old Woman was arrested for starving her one Year Old Kid in Entebbe. Norah Nattu a resident of Gerenge, Katabi subcounty was arrested on Monday for starving her kid identified as Innocent Kabungo with no food. The poor woman has been starving the kid and locking the little boy in the house with nothing to eat and with no one to take care of him.
The kid has been spending the whole day inside the house crying till the mother would come back from work. The woman’s neighbors alerted the police after the situation worsened. The father of the kid identified as Daniel Kawenja abandoned his family last year after impregnating the poor woman.
The Kisubi police station family affairs officer, Anita Mbiira confirmed the incident and warned young women to avoid unwanted pregnancies and reckless sex. She revealed that police is hunting down the father of the kid and will be charged with child negligence. The poor kid has been handed over to Sanyu babies home to be taken care of as the deadly woman is to be charged for being negligent and starving her kid.
