Residents of Nkumba Central Zone in Katabi Municipality are in deep shock after they discovered a 23 year old girl identified as Caroline Nayebale stabbed several times in the chest in the wee hours of Wednesday morning. The deceased was found gushing and oozing blood at one of the resident’s gates after she was stabbed several times by unidentified people. According to several residents who knew the deceased they disclosed that she was running a bar in Kitinda Zone, Katabi Town Council along Entebbe Road. The deceased according to our scouts in the area revealed that she called one of her lovers only identified as Adam Kitakufa that she wanted to spend the night at his house.
According to Adam’s statement; “Carol called me late in the night that she wanted to spend the night at my house but I refused because it was too late. But to my surprise I heard her screaming outside my gate and when I opened I saw her lying in a pool of blood”, Adam revealed.
He called a one Charles who was with him in the house and a neighbor identified as Harriet to help him rush her to hospital. Nayebale was rushed to a nearby clinic in Abaita Ababiiri but the doctors advised Adam to rush her to Kisubi Hospital but she died along the way.
Adam called police who were led by the Abaita Ababiiri OC Station Eseza Nabutoono soon after the girl had died. Adam was arrested alongside Charles and Harriet to help Police in investigations.
The Entebbe Municipality District Police Commander Godfrey Ninsiima confirmed the incident and said that the arrested individuals will help in police investigations. He appealed to the locals especially women and girls to avoid walking alone late in the night.
Our scouts who knew the deceased well revealed that she loved playing and juggling men like Tennis balls including a one Charles Wakida who is rotting in Kigo Prison over a land deal that turned sour. The scouts also revealed that the deceased was a known a party animal who loved partying hard till morning.
