Team Uganda Captain Adolf Muhumuza is confident and eager to lead his side ahead of the Zone VI Golf championships that will officially tee off tomorrow at the par 72 Kitante Golf Course.
“We have been in the camp for the last one month training and practicing on the course and I believe we are mentally prepared for the tournament” Adolf Muhumuza told entebbenews.
“Though South Africa and Kenya are the only countries that have lifted the Zone VI trophy, we aren’t afraid of them because I believe all the countries are good and this is our chance to lift the trophy because we are on home soil” Muhumuza added.

Adolf also spoke highly of Gideon Kangyezi the oldest in the team who turned 50 early this month.
“I have practiced with Gideon before and I’ve played with him thrice in the Uganda Open. He is the most experienced player in the squad and secondly he corrects and guides us’ Adolf said.
All the nine participating teams had a practice round on the course early in the morning. Other Participating teams are South Africa who are the defending champions, Kenya 2010 champions, Malawi, Botswana, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia.
meanwhile the flag raising ceremony is expected to take place at 1600hrs.
