Dancehall singer Yung Mulo encouraged fellow artists to get married, saying that it was a sign that one is ready to take on responsibility.
Yung Mulo, mid this year, was introduced by his partner, Brenda Kahima, in a colourful traditional ceremony after close to eight years of being together.
He described it as the best moment of his life, noting that his decision to marry his wife was not forced by anyone.
Mulo, during his interview with BBS TV, encouraged his fellow artists to take the bold step, as it is the only sign that a man has truly grown up.
“Any man out there who has not taken a step to marry their women is not a real man. That is what makes you a real man. We have done everything on the streets thinking we are great men but before you take such a bold step, you are nothing,” he noted.

Yung Mulo further revealed that marriage was not only a respectful thing but also a sign of appreciation to the woman they love.

As a musician, he noted that they met and interacted with a number of women, but choosing to settle down with one of them was a sign that one was ready to man up.
“It is a respectful thing to do for a woman you love. If you do not appreciate them enough to pay their bride price for all the years you have been together, then you are not a real man. Out of all the women you have been with, if you have not seen anyone worth settling down with, then there is a problem,” he said.
