

Shocking details have begun to emerge on why Billy Kiggundu Musiime, a son to the late President Museveni Mi-172 Chopper Flight Engineer Maj. Patrick Kiggundu chose to end his life by committing suicide on Sunday. After his demise in a plane crash eleven years ago on July 30, 2005 with late Sudan Vice President John Garang and entire crew which included Col. Peter Nyakairu (Pilot) and who was aided by co-pilot, Col. Paul Kiyimba; the officer in charge of the helicopter, Lt. John Munanura, government paid Maj. Patrick Kiggundu’s family specifically Children handsomely to enable them move on with life.
Though it’s not yet clear when Government paid the children, sources have confirmed to entebbenews that Billy’s lifestyle changed after he and his siblings received a ‘fat envelope’ from government to help them start a fresh life after their father’s demise. Billy, according to some of his friends and former class mates at St. Agnes Primary School described him as a quiet guy who minded his business but in a dramatic turn of events Billy’s life style begun to change when he received a share of his father’s money.


According to sources close to the deceased have revealed that while Billy’s siblings used their money constructively, he chose to misuse and squander his portion of the money. Sources have revealed that after getting his portion of the money, Billy lived a reckless life and never listened to advice. He always bullied his young siblings and mother and often chased them away from the house.
After blowing and squandering all the cash, he became so frustrated and turned into a booze addict until his demise a few days ago. Several residents in Lugonjo-Nakiwogo neighborhood in Entebbe Municipality where Billy has been residing have described him as one who was deeply addicted to booze and spent most of his time in Bars drinking and guzzling pints. A few days before he hanged himself he had exchanged bitterly with his mum and chased her together his siblings out of the house. Last week on Friday police stepped into the matter and told his Mum to give him time to cool down. Unconfirmed reports indicate that after throwing his mum and siblings out of the house, he bought over 24 tot packs of Empire (spirit) and rushed to his bedroom where locked himself and started playing loud music.

His Mum who has been sleeping at her shop went back on Wednesday to check on him whether he had cooled down but unfortunately she was welcomed by a huge smell plus flies hovering around the house and on entering his room she saw Billy’s lifeless body hanging on a rope. Several residents in Lugonjo Nakiwogo have revealed that at the time of his death Billy had totally lost control of his life. He was a University graduate.
