Singer Weasel Manizo, through his position as the director of Goodlyfe Magic Limited, has announced the immediate termination and withdrawal of Radio & Weasel’s music catalogue from the Uganda Performing Rights Society (UPRS)
In a notice dated 7th July, 2026, Weasel noted that the action was taken due to the gross mismanagement and lack of transparency in the collection and distribution of the royalties from their art.
This comes shortly after Weasel received only UGX 285,498 as earnings for their music for the past 18 months. He emphasized that the received amount was inconsistent with the extensive broadcast, public performance, and commercial use of their music across the country on TV, radio, public events, among others.
With this, therefore, Goodlyfe ordered immediate withdrawal, ceasing all licensing, royalty collection, representation, and administration of their catalogue. They also demanded a verified audit report showing the funds collected and paying them all their outstanding balances within two weeks.

They further ordered UPRS to submit all usage reports, licensing agreements, and all other documentation relating to their work within the same period.
