Singer Weasel Manizo has celebrated the growth of the Mayanja family, saying that they are still carrying the music industry.
Recently, Jose Chameleone’s son, Abba Marcus Mayanja, had his first child with his girlfriend, Angel, and Weasel couldn’t hold back his congratulations. In an interview with BBS TV, Weasel received the news with great joy, revealing that his own firstborn son, Malcom Mayanja, too, would soon make him a grandfather.
Despite societal judgment that links grandchildren to old age, Weasel revealed that it was a privilege for him to live long enough to see his grandchildren, deeming it a blessing.
“We are grateful for all the titles we are getting because many die without getting the privilege to be. Some die without seeking their children’s children. It is a blessing to call us old because we are seeing them. We thank God for this opportunity and chance to see them,” he said.
With the family growing steadily, Weasel revealed that their music legacy at the Mayanjas was in safe hands as most of their children have taken up music as a career.

“Our children do not want the cycle to end and the music to stop on their uncles and fathers. The cycle is still going on and our children are still coming. My son is also coming,” he said.
Weasel revealed that he wouldn’t talk his children out of music or reveal to them the dangers in the industry. This is because he wants them to experience it personally and make their own decisions. He, however, advised them against doing drugs or being disobedient.

“It is fun for someone to become a star but with a biography. It doesn’t have to be rosy. Let the children experience it all and if they are weak, they will quit. My son should work so hard, be obedient and not sleep. Do not do drugs. It is up to him to decide which path he is going to take because he is old enough to make his own decisions. No one protected us either,” he said.
