Christians of the Roman Catholic faith in Entebbe descended onto the streets to mark the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ known as Good Friday. Catholics from Bugonga Parish began their journey from the church while carrying the cross taking the circular road route and stopping over at Lake Victoria School play ground before heading back to the church. Along the way they made fifteen stopovers as they sang hymns and gave thanks to the lord.
In his sermon Reverend Father Emmanuel Lubega called on the Christians to be humble like Jesus Christ and love one another and avoid lamenting. “Be humble, obedient and firm like Jesus as you carry your own crosses” Rev. Fr Emmanuel Lubega told the congregation.
“I urge to continuously pray to Jesus to send helpers to wipe our tears and misery away” Rev Fr Lubega added.
