Wakiso District Resident District Commissioner Eng. Ian Kyeyune has pledged government support to all voluntary organisations in Uganda that are serving and caring for the needy children. Kyeyune who was speaking during the official launch of the kids of Africa pioneer primary School located in Kawuku off Entebbe Road thanked the founders and donors who established the school to serve the interests of the needy.

He also said that government would continue to liberalize the Education Sector to allow other private players to invest in the promotion of skills among the people of Uganda and most especially the disadvantaged.

Ian Kyeyune was representing the minister of state for higher Education John.C. Muyingo who wasn’t able to attend because of other engagements.

“The role of government is to create an enabling environment for people who would wish to invest in Uganda’s Education” he added.

He continued that the work of government is to ensure that there is security and enabling laws that allow the private sector to invest and operate smoothly in Uganda. Kyeyune also tasked the teachers in the school to make sure the children produce the desired results.

“It would be a great shame if pupils in this school don’t get first grades” he stressed. He also tasked the teachers to use the extra co-curricular activities in the school to develop the talents amongst all children in the school.

The ceremony was graced by the founder Kids of Africa Swiss African Village and pioneer primary school Dr.Burkhard Varnholt, sponsor Mr.Claudio Dolina and Dorothy Hyuha from the NRM Secretariat.
