Veteran reggae musician Maddox Ssematimba has addressed growing concerns and questions from his fans about not releasing new music.
Maddox is widely regarded as one of the greatest artists in the industry. Despite not releasing any new music for years, fans still jam to his old songs. In a TV interview, the celebrated reggae artist explained that he had other ongoing personal projects that were taking up all his time and attention.
“Life is good, and music is around as usual. We have grown up doing this, and we will continue doing it forever; as they ask for new music, they should be consuming what we have released so far. We are still cooking for the people,” he said.
According to Maddox Ssematimba, music is still his passion and stays close to his heart. He, however, had to strike a balance between his personal ventures and his music, which has slowed the pace at which he releases new music to his fans.
At a time when every artist is struggling to bounce back, Maddox has chosen to stay put amidst the impatience and pressure from his fans. He encouraged them to continue supporting and listening to his old music as he plans his next release.

“I have many songs, but I also have a lot of businesses that take up my time. I have other projects I’m working on, and they need my attention and time, too. Music is here to stay, and we are still feeding on the one we already have. My people should stay calm and happy,” he said.
