Outgoing Uganda Revenue Authority Commissioner General Allen Kagina will give tips on how leadership can transform institutions at the 8th open Minds Forum.
Kagina will be the key speaker and the topic of discussion will be: Role of Leadership in Institutional Transformation. The forum will be held at the Victoria Hall Serena conference centre on October 23 starting 8.00am and entrance is free.
Kagina will explain how good leadership is the cornerstone for change in institutions. She will be leaving URA after 22 years, 10 years of which she has been commissioner General a position she has served excellently.
Before she took over the institution’s image was tainted because staff had little regard for the public they were supposed to serve. Today it is a better institution which relies on modern systems to offer quick services to the public, bench marking teams from other countries frequent URA desiring to learn and replicate the organization’s success story.
Other panelists will include Chief of Defence forces Gen. Katumba Wamala who also served as the Inspector General of Police, from Nigeria Anigbogu the director and part of the governing council Institute for National Transformation will share tips on how excellent leadership can transform organizations. Dr. James Magara the founder of Jubilee Dental clinics will be the forum moderator. He is passionate about transformational leadership and is mentoring many young and upcoming professionals.
