Police have arrested two suspects on grounds of getting involved in acts of sodomy.

The suspects are, Huzaifa Mugeni, a 23-year-old barber, and Kabale Richard Imran, a 23-year-old self-employed resident of Namasuba.

According to Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga, “The suspects were caught red-handed sodomizing each other in Mulongo’s saloon in Kisingiri cell, Namirembe Bakuli Parish, Lubaga division on the 20th of October at around 3:00pm.“

Police say a student from one of the schools decided to take shelter on the veranda of the salon during a heavy rain.

Enanga added that, “He then heard people inside the salon making funny screaming sounds and picked up his smartphone to record the two suspects in the act of sodomy.”

The student then alerted security guards at Total Mengo, who called police at Bakuli, and the two suspects were arrested.

Enanga reminded the public that offenses against the natural order, such as sodomy and bestiality, are punishable crimes in Uganda.

He said that, “The two suspects are being held for practicing an unnatural offense.“
