Uganda Men’s National senior football team (Uganda Cranes) has dropped according to the latest Rankings released by the world governing body, FIFA.
According to the latest FIFA rankings released on Wednesday, Uganda dropped by one slot to the 84th position following a dismal AFCON Qualifier performance in the previous month of March.
The Cranes drew goalless with Burkina Faso at the St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende and lost 1-0 to Malawi during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
On the African continent, Uganda Cranes are positioned 16th with the top five standings boosting of Nations in Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria and Morocco.
Uganda’s opponents in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers; Mali (57th), Kenya (102nd) and Rwanda are positioned 57th, 102th and 129th respectively.
