The Imperial Group of Hotel Proprietor Karim Hirji has been under fire for the last couple of days after Members of Parliament on the famous Public Accounts Committee (PAC) grilled him to the Bone Marrow over Shs260m deal to procure a high-powered generator for the 2007 Common wealth heads of government meeting that was held in 2007. The property mogul was last week grilled by PAC officials after he failed to account for the Shs260m that was handed to him to procure a high powered generator for his Imperial Royale Hotel during the 2007 Chogm meeting. The Members of Parliament disclosed that he received the Shs260m from Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) to procure the generator but to make matters worse nothing was procured and it’s not yet clear how the money spent. However the aging business man is still tight lipped over the matter.
