Former media personality turned politician Tuff B has weighed in on the comparison between Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine, noting that there is a significant difference between the two.
Tuff B once idolized Bebe Cool and was a staunch member of the Gagamel Crew back in the day. The two teamed up to diss Bobi Wine on ‘Dogo Lyo’ in retaliation for his ‘Matyansi Butyampa’ hit. They, however, bitterly fell out and, to the surprise of many, Tuff B joined Bobi Wine’s NUP and Firebase camp.
During his sit-down interview on Deep Talk, Tuff B, a person who has had the chance to interact with the two stars, cautioned Mr. Henrie never to compare Bobi Wine, whom he calls his president, to Bebe Cool.
According to Tuff B, Bebe Cool’s world revolves around him and his family, while Bobi Wine’s interest is in the well-being of the people, especially the youth. Tuff B insists that they have different mindsets, which cannot be put in the same sentence.
“Do not put Robert Kyagulanyi in the same statement about reasoning with Moses Ssali. Moses Ssali’s world stops around him and his family. I do not have anything against him; For Robert Kyagulanyi, his world stops at every Ugandan young boy, their future, how they slept last night, and what their future holds for them. You are totally trying to demean my president,” he said.
Tuff B recalled the first time he came in contact with Bobi Wine years back. He described him as a gangster who had a war bus and a large group that followed him around and wouldn’t let anyone touch him.
As he got to know him over time, however, he experienced the other side of him, which commanded nothing but respect.
“When the Firebase war bus stopped, over 25 of them would come out. He had a real ‘ggali’. You would not even have a conversation with him because you would look at him and see a gangster. With time, you realize the gangster and the bad man you see is different from Ssentamu Kyagulanyi, then you start respecting him,” he said.

Tuff B’s comments have been met with mixed reactions, with Bebe Cool’s supporters claiming he was praising him to get the party card, which he will use to contest for the parliamentary seat in the coming 2026 general elections.
