Late Capt. Geoffrey Burashana the former UPDF Public Relations Officer attached to Makindye Army Barracks died instantly in a car accident along Zzana Entebbe Road. Late Capt. Burashana who had other four people in the vehicle according to sources say that he rammed into a bus and he died instantly while the other four sustained serious injuries and were all rushed to Mulago Hospital for medical treatment. Capt. Burashana’s body was also taken to Mulago for postportem.
Eye witnesses revealed that Capt. Burashana and four others were heading home at a high speed after drinking heavily at Knight Riders Disco theque and Travellers Bar in Baita. Eye witnesses added that police found empty beer bottles in the vehicle.
The Late Capt. Burashana Geoffrey also served as Public Relations Officer for Kasijjagirwa armoured Brigade in Masaka . He had also served in Somalia, he had just got married last year. He was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kiruhura district on friday lastweek. Top high ranking UPDF officers attended the burial.
