Three men including a business man and proprietor of the defunct Abaita Ababiri again home furniture with his two colleagues have been busted in fake land racket after conning over shs150M from different individuals.
Edward Jemba, the proprietor of defunct Abaita Ababiri Come again home furniture and two others including Faizo Semanda and Francis Kabalisa have been ‘nailed’ to the wall after conning shs 17M from a senior army officer of the UPDF capt.Shaban Hitler Bunga at the Mbuya military barracks in a shady land deal plus others.
The trio sold the army officer a piece of land around Nkumba/Bufulu around this year June 2020 during the hard biting COVID 19 pandemic.
Another victim Brenda Nabumba was conned during the lockdown when she approached Jemba for a piece of land and the ‘fake man’ showed her several different plots and she singled out one plot around
Bwebajja Akright estates and paid Shs 35m to those fake fellas.
Nabumba was surprised when she went to fence off her land and some other person mushroomed claiming the same land and ordered her out of the contested land. She raised Jemba to intervene but sadly his known phone contact was switched off and immediately she filed the case at Entebbe police station.
Jamil Senyonjo, also a victim paid shs 13.5m to Francis Kabalisa and Faizo Semanda Semadali for a piece of land located around Kitara zone, Wakiso district but he was surprised to discover later that the said land belonged to a different person .
The trio were arrested recently along the Entebbe road after plotting a mousy game and conning a number of potential land buyers in fake land transactions and later detained at Entebbe police station.
