A new youth initiative under the name LYLON has been launched to empower the youth in skills development and talent in Entebbe.
The youth community association under the name Lugonjo Youth Initiative(LYLON) was launched recently with the interim committee headed by Ayub David and others.
The youth association patron Oloya David popularly known as Octopas said during the launch, that the association is to help the youth in several programs and projects including promoting art & crafts plus fashion.
He added that youth need to be empowered to be leaders of tomorrow. The organization launch was attended by hundreds of youth and politicians including Fabrice Rulinda, Councilor Kibirige Tadeo, Councilor Kikomeko Twaha plus others. There was also a fundraising drive that fetched over three hundred thousand shillings from auctioned art pieces.
The organization patron, Oloya Davis is vying for the Lugonjo Nakiwogo LC3 councilor seat currently occupied by Kibirige Tadeo of the Democratic Party also seeking another term.The association elected Mugerwa Richard as Deputy chairman while Bukenya Frank as publicity secretary.
