Police in Entebbe early last week arrested upcoming singer Richard Yiga aka Mega Best over a deadly cocaine deal that led to the death of Kibali mining company top boss David Kirkland Christopher aged 30 years.
The singer was on Thursday last week arrested in connection to the death of Kirkland Christopher who reportedly collapsed in his hotel room at Golf view hotel in Entebbe a fortnight ago. Kirkland passed away at Victoria medical center where he was rushed in a critical condition.
Sources indicated that Kirkland collapsed after drowning himself in a cocaine overdose, shortly before returning to his hotel room sources indicated that the foreign national had been at the Red Rooster sports bar where he had been partying like crazy.
Police in Entebbe arrested several people including singer Mega Best in connection to the death of the Australian National who was working for Kibali Mining Company in the Democratic Republic of Congo and was planning to travel to Australia soon.
Meanwhile the Uganda Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango revealed that the preliminary investigations indicated that Kirkland died of cocaine overdose and hypertension.
The Australian Department of foreign Affairs and Trade provided consular assistance to the family of the 30 year old Australian who died in Uganda.
