Last week on Women’s day upcoming dancehall artiste Khalifa Aganaga was at it again spinning his dreadlocks at the Miss University of Kisubi (Unik) beauty pageant show. The young tiny fella stormed the beauty contest show like Madness after a few revelers and students who had turned up for the boring event started dozing off and yawning like hell. The 26 year old colored and spiced up the boring beauty pageant show with a couple of his hit songs including Kazindalo, Oyitangayo, Guddy Guddy Gal, Gusimbye, Four by Four plus others.
Light skinned Victoria Bagwaneza was officially crowned winner of the contest after she caned five other participants in the beauty modeling brain game contest that was organized at the University grounds. The 21-year old Counseling Psychology student was crowned by Former Miss Uganda Leah Kalanguka who urged the university management to “always support and build female leaders through social gathering such as this beauty pageant.” Emphasized Leah. The sweet lovely pencil thin babe walked away with a 14 inch flat screen TV. She takes over from Nalwada Doreen who has held the crown since 2013.
Rose Namata, 20 offering BBAM as the first runner up. 20 Year old South Sudanese Hannah Martha Awel, offering Information Technology in her year one emerged second runner up. Other queens who were thrown out included; Maria Hellen Namugerwa 20, Joviah Nabaggala 19 and Maria Joanitah Namugenyi 19.
Hannah walked away with a wall clock and bag while the rest got only bags. The six participants showcased their creative wear, office and beach wear. The judges included Mildred Nabunje, Kimera Prossy and Dicho Kikobo.
The Deputy vice Chancellor of University of Kisubi, Bro. Sekate Bernard and the Dean of Students Bro. Adolf Mugerwa were part of the witnesses at the crowning.
The other guests at the function were; Miss University Uganda Luzindana Lillian, Miss Tourism Eastern Uganda Ojakol Racheal, Miss Tourism Northern Uganda Evelyn Atim, Miss Talent Namatovu Camilla Alina and Miss Conservation Melody Modesty, Busoga Ambassodor Kisakye Ronah from the Miss Tourism project and Miss Uganda Martyrs University Adong Colleen.
