Sacked National Animal Genetic Resources Centre (NAGRIC) &Data Bank (DB) Boss, Dr. D.K.N. Semambo has been acting in a defiance manner and total disobedience ever since he was instructed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry And Fisheries (MAAIF) under Secretary Paul Muzaale and Public Service Ministry Permanent Secretary John Mitala to surrender the Government Car Registration No. UG 2334A that he was allocated. Minister Tress Bucyanayandi fired the former senior government officer in a letter dated October 5, 2015 over gross incompetence, poor staff relationship and mismanagement of several government farms. He was ordered to immediately vacate the office and hand over the office keys to Dr. Wilberforce Kifudde. He ran to IGG Irene Mulyagonja to intervene and reinstate him back in office. However on August 19, 2015 NAGRIC and DB Board Chairman John Nkuuhe in a heated board meeting with Minister Bucyanayandi and MAAIF Permanent Secretary resolved not to renew his contract. The sacked government officer has remained adamant ever since he was requested to hand over the government car that has been included among several other government vehicles to be used during President Yoweri Museveni’s swearing in ceremony slated for Thursday.
In two letters dated April 8th and 23, 2015 from Cabinet Secretary John Mitala and MAAIF under Secretary Paul Muzaale, Dr. Semambo was requested to comply with the instructions and surrender the government vehicle that has been included among several vehicles that will be used by the National Organization committee for President Museveni’s swearing in ceremony.
