Singer Rema Namakula has responded to Bebe Cool’s recent comments about her career path, noting that her journey should not be compared to others.
Bebe Cool was responsible for shaping Rema’s music scene. In a recent interview, he expressed his disappointment, stating that she had a future he had envisioned for her.
He claimed that if she had stayed in Gagamel, she would have attained international recognition with the likes of Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, among others.
However, he says, Rema chose to go traditional, performing at weddings and traditional ceremonies.
Speaking during a TikTok live broadcast, Rema Namakula responded to questions regarding expectations of her career, noting that everyone’s journey was different.
According to the singer, her path was unique, and whereas people could encourage and push someone to meet their level of expectations, she was only trusting God’s own timing.

“Everyone has their own journey. Remas’ journey is different from everyone else’s. Besides, everything has its own timing. We plan as God plans too. I do believe that God had his own plans for me. I’m just a human, and God plans better. We can say all that, but someone pushes. Someone can say all that, push you well with some expectations in you and what they suppose you would have done, but everyone has their own journey,” she said.
