The Entebbe Municipality Division ‘A’ Boda Boda Chairman Constantine Kizito is in trouble after RDC Nalongo Rose Kirabira and Entebbe Town Clerk Charles Magumba grilled him over charging Boda Boda riders illegal stage fees. The Boda Boda boss sweated a hell of plasma during the Baraza (open forum meeting) that was organized at Munno trading center, in Katabi Busambaga village on Friday after he was tasked to explain why Boda Boda riders pay hefty Boda Boda stage fees and yet most of them are chocking on loans.
This follows several complaints from the Boda Boda riders in Division ‘A’ that they are charged as much as Shs3.7million just to get a stage where to operate from and yet most of them are poor guys with loans to repay and to make matters worse there is no clear accountability for the fees. The Boda Boda Boss was fidgeting around with no clear answers after RDC Kirabira and Town Clerk Charles Magumba paraded him before Katabi-Busambaga residents to give accountability over the fees. RDC Kirabira promised to meet all the Boda Boda riders in Division ‘A’ to iron out the issues.
Meanwhile Minister for Primary Education and Wakiso Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Rose Sseninde warned parents over neglecting their responsibilities stressing that many children today are bad-mannered and engage in crime. She warned all primary schools over pumping kids with a lot of home work stressing that the kids don’t get enough time to rest. She noted that many schools only aim at passing highly and hence force kids to wake up early in the cold to attend classes which is detrimental to their health.
