Passengers who were scheduled to board Emirates Airlines Flight number EK730 from Entebbe to Dubai on Thursday received bad news that they couldn’t travel to their different destinations after the flight was cancelled. The Passengers and flight crew who had already checked in were later booked in different hotels after the flight was cancelled. Cargo that had been loaded onto the aircraft was also offloaded.
A reliable source working at the Airport indicated that the Aircraft an Airbus A320-200 could have developed a technical problem.
“Most probably the flight developed a technical problem and the captain decided to cancel it” a source told entebbenews.
“They (Emirates Airlines) will be dispatching their engineers as soon as possible to assess the problem with the Aircraft though I cannot confirm how long it will take” the source intimated.
The Aviation Industry has been awash with the recent crash of the Germanwings 9525 flight in which 150 passengers perished onboard in the French Alps. The flight was heading to Dusseldorf Germany from Barcelona in Spain when it crashed.
