The Ruling National Resistance Movement party (NRM) diehard Ssenyondwa Ronald is warming up for the Busiro South Parliamentary seat and is plotting to kick out incumbent MP Peter Ssematimba who he has accused of doing a lot of nothing for the people of Busiro South for all the five years he has been in Parliament.
Ssenyondwa Ronald who is a tourism and a marketing professional has accused incumbent MP Peter Ssematimba of abandoning the voters in Busiro South and has urged them (Busiro South Constituents) to trust him instead of Peter Ssematimba.
Peter Ssematimba came around, promised a few bursaries, and never appeared again and he hasn’t been active on the floor of parliament. I’ve heard and noted so many complaints from voters in the areas of Katabi town council, Kajjansi, Sissa, and other areas about Peter Ssematimba’s poor and ineffective leadership. All the divisions that make up Busiro South Constituency can be visited, coordinated, and easily mobilized by a leader who resides in the constituency unlike Ssematimba, Ssenyondwa Ronald revealed.
Ssenyondwa added;
Busiro South has a number of challenges including water and sanitation that I can ably address if the voters in Busiro South vote me as the Member of Parliament. The women in Busiro South have been left behind and I’ll lobby soft loans for them to start different projects that can lift them out of poverty. We should also be mindful of the need to support government programmes which definitely are geared towards the economic transformation of our country Uganda and this can only be done through legislation in support of government budgets to finance the different sectors of the economy.
Ssenyondwa Ronald has served as the President of the Entebbe Rotary Club from July 2019 to June 30, 2020, and he has overseen a number of club projects including the delivery of 10 patient monitors to Entebbe Referral Hospital and a successful medical health camp was organized at Kanonakali health center in Katabi were over 300 people received free medical care.
