
Chairpersons of different committees in Parliament have commended National Medical Stores for their efficient storage and delivery of medicines and drug supplies to the Ugandan population.
Speaking during a tour of National Medical stores facilities, the chairpersons of the different committees in Parliament thanked National Medical Stores for the new warehouse facility that is being constructed in Kajjansi and committed themselves to ensure that National Medical Stores’ budget is increased.
“On behalf of Parliament, we are grateful to NMS board and Management for the job they are doing in ensuring that medicines and drug supplies are efficiently stored and delivered to the Ugandans. We are also grateful for the new warehouse that is being constructed in Kajjansi that will be the biggest on the continent of Africa. National Medical Stores deserves a budget increment because the Ugandan Population keeps increasing and as a result, their (NMS) operations have also increased”, Wamukiyu Mudini, Vice-Chairperson Parliamentary budget committee.
